Established in 2004 by the All Makes Swap Meet Pty Ltd, the first Shannons
Aussie Car Shows were held at Sandown Racecourse. It soon became clear
that due to the great interest in the event a larger venue with better access
was required. In 2006 the show was held for the first time at Flemington
racecourse Nursery car park and it has continued at this venue since.
The show is now a fixture on the Victorian motoring enthusiasts calendar
and in 2010 the date will be brought forward to ensure that there is a better
chance of good weather for the event. The event is entirely run by
volunteers and all proceeds are returned to the motoring movement.
